A delegation from the Georgian Dream, led by its Chairman, is visiting the People’s Republic of China. According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the delegation held meetings with Liu Jianchao, Head of the Chinese Communist Party’s International Department, his deputy, and the leadership of the State Council’s Research Center.

As Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, said, the Georgian side “once again received the promise of China’s unwavering support” that Georgia’s territorial integrity will always be supported by Beijing: “Other topics of discussion included trade relations and the Middle Corridor, the security environment in the Black Sea, the Middle East and Asia, and other global developments”.

The Georgian delegation includes Parliament officials - Vice Speaker Gia Volski, Deputy Chair Irakli Chikovani, Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, David Songulashvili, the Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Nino Tsilosani, the Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Viktor Sanikidze, the First Deputy Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee.
