Timeline for inviting a long-term observation mission to the parliamentary elections is written in a plan, certain political forces are artificially politicizing the issue - MFA

The timeline for inviting a long-term observation mission to the parliamentary elections of 2024 is written in a plan - it is unfortunate that certain political forces are artificially politicizing the issue and misleading the public. Such a statement was released by the Georgia Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The terms of inviting a long-term observation mission to the parliamentary elections of 2024 are spelled out in the plan, which was approved by the Governmental Commission for European Integration on November 27, 2023, and which is public and available on the website of the Government.

The plan describes in detail the actions and deadlines that the Government will take to ensure a free, fair and competitive election process in the country.

It is a pity that certain political forces artificially politicize this issue and mislead the public”, - says the agency.

The United National Movement called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to officially apply to OSCE/ODIHR for sending observers to observe the 2024 parliamentary elections.
