Due to heavy snowfall, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure imposed traffic restrictions on several roads in Georgia.
According to the agency, movement is banned for semi-trailers and trailers at the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway.
Motorcars can move through tunnels without stopping and with direct coordination and supervision of the Patrol Police.
Besides, traffic is banned for trucks at Nakerala Pass of the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road. Movement across the road section is free for light vehicles.
Movement is restricted for semi-trailers and vehicles with over 30 passenger capacity at the Khaishi-Ushguli road of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway.
Driving is allowed with 4WD vehicles and with the use of anti-sliding wheel chains.
