A citizen who had gone missing during a mining expedition in Kazbegi municipality was found dead by rescuers. The information is already confirmed by the Emergency Management Service of Georgia.

According to the agency, a helicopter crew of the Border Police was involved in the search and rescue efforts along with the emergency response team.

Running over several days in the area of the Gergeti Glacier, the operation ended with the discovery of the body of the missing person. The body was recovered from a snow mass by the rescuers.
