Belarusian President has arrived at the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union in St. Petersburg, writes BelTA.
Aleksandr Lukashenko participates in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The agenda of the summit includes more than two dozen items, which, among other things, relate to key areas for the further development of integration processes in the EAEU, international activities, macroeconomic policy, work to remove barriers, reduce exemptions and restrictions in the EAEU internal market.
Also among the important issues on the agenda are the chairman and membership of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the chairmanship in the EAEU. In accordance with the EAEU Treaty, the chairmanship is carried out on a rotational basis in the order of the Russian alphabet. Accordingly, the chairmanship after Russia should pass to Armenia this year.
