Presentation of the publication “Georgian Agriculture Sector: Transformation and Last Decade’s Development Trends” held in the Parliament. The event was opened by the Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Nino Tsilosani.

“This is the fundamental document – a compendium of the analyzed decade of agrarian transformation of the country, which takes roots from the day when agriculture was declared as a priority of the country and is being developed through the daily efforts of the authority, the field specialists and our international partners”, - said the MP.

According to her, the publication takes us step-by-step through the journey of the last decade – the development and ascent of destructed agriculture at the institutional and legislative levels. As she noted, it is paramount that Georgia has already achieved significant progress in food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary spheres, which allows us to expand the trade with the EU and improve diversification. Georgia closely cooperates with the fishing management regional organizations through various sector associations and ensures the empowerment of the farmers by means of the program aid.
