Khvicha Korinteli, who was illegally detained near the village of Adzvi by the Russian occupation forces, has been released and is in the territory controlled by the central Government.
“The issue of his immediate release from illegal detention was raised by the central Government of Georgia at the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM). The central Government had been providing information to international partners on a permanent basis.
The Government, together with international partners, continues to work actively for the release of all citizens of Georgia illegally detained in the occupied territories.
Full responsibility for all destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line rests with the occupying power”, - reads the statement of the State Security Service of Georgia.
