Employees of Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Old Tbilisi Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department, as a result of the investigative actions, arrested N.V. (DoB 1984) for the attempted murder and assaulting a police officer while performing official duties.

The committed crime envisions up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation established that the accused person wounded T.A. (DoB 1985) on Aghmashenebeli Avenue in Tbilisi, on the basis of a mutual dispute, with a cold steel.

N.V. also injured the patrol police officer who was called to the scene of the incident with a knife.

Both wounded have been taken to the hospital, where appropriate medical care is provided to them.

As a result of immediate investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, N.V. was arrested.

The investigation of attempted murder and assault on a police officer during the performance of official duties is being conducted under Articles 19-108 and 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
