When Blinken and Borrell are participating in a certain event, of course, it is our responsibility that our Foreign Minister be present there - there is no reason for speculations. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, while talking about Ilia Darchiashvili’s attendance at the OSCE ministerial in Skopje.
“Of course, this is normal. When [Antony] Blinken, [Josep] Borrell and other European leaders are attending a specific event, is not it absolutely logical for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to participate?! There can be no objective questions in this regard, but some people still manage to speculate.
As for the countries you named [Ukraine and the Baltic countries], I would like to advise them to first sell 4 times less wine in Russia than Georgia sells, and then talk about participation or non-participation in some events. This is a double standard. Specific countries are not engaged in wine production and they sell 4 times more wine in Russia than we do.
When Blinken and Borrell are participating in a certain event, of course it is also our responsibility that our Foreign Minister be present there. It should be so. There is no basis for speculations, but some people do it anyway”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
