The employees of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operative search measures and investigative activities, detained previously convicted A.M. (DoB 1986), for inflicting health injury on purpose.

The committed crime envisions up to 4 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on November 26 of the current year, in Batumi, the accused person wounded his acquaintance - G.M. (DoB 1983) with a cold steel during an argument that started on the territory of the city and fled from the scene. The injured man was provided with appropriate medical care.

Law enforcement officers detained A.M. as an accused person, based on the judge’s decision.

The police seized the weapon of crime - a knife, as evidence.

The investigation into the fact inflicting a severe health damage on purpose is being conducted under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
