Israeli source says Hamas making additional demands to hostage deal

As we’ve reported, there’s been a delay to a deal between Hamas and Israel, which is due to see a temporary ceasefire and some hostages released, writes BBC.

I’m now hearing from my Israeli government source that Hamas has made additional demands to the deal - though it’s not clear what those demands are.

As part of the agreement, 50 Israeli hostages are due to be freed by Hamas and 150 Palestinian detainees released by Israel - along with a four-day temporary pause in fighting.

The deal was originally due to go ahead this morning, but was delayed until Friday following an announcement by the Israeli government last night.
