The Speaker of the Parliament met with a delegation from the Venice Commission, led by the Secretary-General of the Commission.
The meeting highlighted the long-standing and productive cooperation between Georgia and the Venice Commission. Shalva Papuashvili expressed Georgia’s high appreciation for collaboration with the Commission to align Georgia with European standards.
Simona Menghini-Granata spoke about the opinion preparation process of the Venice Commission. The meeting stressed the significance of continuous communication between Georgia and the Venice Commission throughout the stages of drafting and adopting laws.
The parties discussed ongoing reforms in Georgia and affirmed their commitment to further cooperation.
