The United States of America truly sends its most sincere and warm greetings to every citizen of Georgia. This achievement is really important, the US Ambassador to Georgia said in a speech at the Orbeliani Palace.
“The US truly sends its most sincere and warm greetings to every citizen of Georgia. This achievement is really important. We welcome the decision of the European Commission on the status of Georgia, we celebrate with you this important step taken in the direction of the EU and Euro-Atlantic integration.
I would like to congratulate the European Union for the work done to support Georgia in the process of enlargement. The EU has done very important job and has worked very hard to make this happen. I want to emphasize that the US, together with the EU, the President and the government, continues to work with people to reveal the full potential of the people of Georgia during its membership in the EU.
The President spoke about those Georgians who made sacrifices for the state. Today is Veterans Day in the US, when we honor our soldiers. Georgian soldiers also sacrificed in the missions of the US, and I thank Georgia for that.
The President also spoke about shared history and shared values. We are also talking about a shared future. We love Georgia and the EU, so we must have a united future. This is a great day for everyone, for us, for the transatlantic community”, - said Robin Dunnigan.
