At the base of the rowing academy, the open championship was held in the Rustavi Central Park

In the Rustavi Central Park, at the base of the rowing academy, the open championship named after the honored coach of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze, was held.

The tournament, on the lake in the territory of the park, took place for two days and athletes from Georgia and Armenia took part in it.

Boys and girls born in 2003-2005, 2006-2007, 2008-2009 took part in the Open Championship. Young athletes swam distances of 200 and 500 meters. Medals, cups and certificates were awarded to the winners in different categories.

Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze laid the foundations of rowing in Rustavi in ​​the sixties of the last century and made a great contribution to the development of this type of sport.

Rustavi hosted the Open Championship named after the honored coach of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsivtsivadze, for the second time.

The tournament was organized by Rustavi City Hall, Arts, Sports and Youth Development Center and Rustavi Rowing Academy.
