Georgia has an extraordinary geopolitical location and position to be a great partner - Roberta Casali

The Tbilisi Silk Road Forum will strengthen regional cooperation, strengthen and improve investments, Roberta Casali, the Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank, said at the opening event of the 4th edition of the event.

“The Asian Development Bank has been an early supporter of this forum since its beginning. As ADB Vice President, I am pleased to be here today and contributing to this discussion.

This forum is incredibly important because it strengthens regional cooperation and focuses on how this wonderful country can improve together with other countries in the Caucasus and Central Asia and beyond, strengthen their cooperation and improve and promote trade and investments.

The forum will be a great occasion for discussions and also an opportunity to increase contacts between participants”, - said Roberta Casali.

She also mentioned Georgia’s “extraordinary geopolitical location”, which she said could be “not just a partner but a great partner”.

Tbilisi hosts the Silk Road Forum for the fourth time, featuring more than 2,000 delegates and guests from 60 countries. The event includes ten thematic panel sessions and parallel discussions on crucial trade, economic, and connectivity topics.
