The employees of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, arrested the uncle of A.S. (accused of killing 14-year-old minor) – A.A. (DoB 1972), and cousin of the detainee B.A. (DoB 1997) on the charge of not reporting the crime.

The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that, with an intent of forced marriage, the person accused of murder illegally restricted freedom to A.Sh. (DoB 2009) and brought her to the house of his uncle A.A. Withing the frames of the conducted investigative actions, it was also established that the same crime was known to B,A. A.A."s son, although they did not report the crime to the police.

As a result of investigative and procedural actions conducted by law enforcement officers, A.A. and B.A. were arrested as defendants based on the judge"s decision.

The investigation into the fact of non-reporting the crime is in progress under Article 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
