The Prime Minister of Georgia will address today the world leaders in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly [UNGA], he will emphasize the peaceful policy of our Government in terms of restoring territorial integrity. Such a statement made today David Bakradze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations.

“The visit of the Prime Minister and the Georgian delegation to New York continues. A very friendly meeting was held with the UN Secretary General, Antonio Gutierrez, who, speaking to the Prime Minister, emphasized the wise policy of our Government in the direction of ensuring peace and stability, as well as economic development, and pledged support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and non-recognition policy.

Meetings, bilateral meetings held by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in parallel with the UNGA were result-oriented and therefore very important.

Especially with the European leaders, the conversation was devoted to the successful implementation of the 12 points by the Georgian authorities, as well as the high expectations that the population of Georgia has in terms of receiving the candidate status.

Today is the main event. Irakli Garibashvili will address the world leaders within the framework of the UNGA debate, he will emphasize the peaceful policy of our government in terms of restoring territorial integrity, he will talk about the economic reforms and democratic reforms implemented by the Government in order to achieve tangible results for the population”, - said David Bakradze.
