Organized by Beka Odisharia, the chairman of the Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee, successful diasporans working abroad were recognized and awarded in the parliament.
During the event, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, addressed the successful diaspora: “It is high time that we look at the diaspora as successful Georgians who maintain contact with Georgia and strengthen the country”.
“Church is the place where Georgians have the opportunity to find each other and support each other. Sunday schools near the church have a great role. It is important to preserve the connection with the motherland, including linguistic, cultural, and spiritual”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
“Preparations are underway for an expanded forum where the focus will extend beyond awards. This forum aims to present business projects and opportunities for active involvement. Prominent government officials, including the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Parliament, and ministers, will personally introduce the possibilities developed by our government. This event is expected to be highly informative and serve as the starting point for your active engagement”, - added Beka Odisharia.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to successful diaspora members who are actively involved in business in the US and various European countries. The event was attended by members of Parliament, the Bishop of North America, Reverend Saba, and representatives of the Georgian diaspora.
