Currently implemented program envisages scholarships in the value of 150 GEL to almost 2500 students. We will be doubling the scholarship to pay out 300 GEL to each student and 5000 outstanding students will be getting it. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.
“First, I would like to single out our International Education Center. We sent over 1000 of the best-performing students abroad, to the best universities and enabled them to gain degrees completely free of charge. We have selected over 1000 of the best-performing, excellent students and taught them in the best foreign universities. Of course, these people return, some do. They get jobs not only at state agencies, but in the private sector as well. And this is our wealth and strength! We will certainly strengthen this project even further. The new minister is working in this direction.
In the second direction, what we have is the appreciation of talented, high-achiever students on the ground, their encouragement in the form of scholarships.

Of course, it may be symbolic, but it is a gesture on our part to appreciate our students. These criteria, which will be developed, will be approved with an Executive Order of the Minister [of Education]”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
