The employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions, detained previously convicted V.Sh. (DoB 1992) for the attempted murder of two persons under aggravating circumstances.

The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During the investigation, it was established that the accused person, during a physical confrontation that started on the grounds of a dispute in Tbilisi, wounded two persons: V.D. (DoB 1980) and S.D. (DoB 1985) with a knife. As a result of the inflicted wounds, V.D. died shortly after being admitted to the hospital, while S.D. is receiving appropriate medical treatment.

The law enforcement officers, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative measures police detained V.sh. as an accused person.

The police seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.

The investigation into the fact of the attempted murder committed against two persons under aggravating circumstances is in progress under Article 19-109, sub-paragraph “L” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
