The Ministry of Health issues a statement regarding the death of a military serviceman in the disaster zone in Shovi.
“In connection with the death of a military serviceman, presumably due to a heart attack, during the ongoing work in the disaster area, we clarify that the brigade of the emergency situations coordination and emergency assistance center arrived at the scene within 10 minutes of receiving the notification [10:55 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.], but the doctors, unfortunately, found the soldier dead.
Accordingly, the information spread by individual media, as if the death of a military serviceman is related to delayed or improper medical services, is not true and aims to discredit the center for coordination of emergency situations and emergency assistance.
To inform the public, we want to explain that 4 ambulance brigades are constantly working in different locations in the disaster area. Also, 2 ambulances are mobilized near the primary health care centers of Oni and Ambrolauri.
The center for coordination of emergency situations and emergency assistance expresses its grief over the death of a military serviceman and extends condolences to his family members”, - reads the statement of the agency.
