Despite the statements, of course, we will continue the successful policy of non-recognition, said the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, while respondisng to the statement of Grigory Karasin, the Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Council of the Russian Federation.

“We have heard such statements. The main thing for us is that Georgia has been successfully implementing the non-recognition policy for all these years, and the result of our government’s non-recognition policy is that the number of countries that have recognized the so-called independence has not increased.

We, regardless of the statements, will certainly continue to work on the successful non-recognition policy. We have heard such statements, but our policy of non-recognition was successful despite everything”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

Grigory Karasin said that Russia is doing everything to “recognize the sovereignty of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by other countries, including India and China”. According to him, this is a difficult issue because the West has a negative attitude towards this idea, but sooner or later this recognition will happen.
