I had a telephone conversation with Dato Jeladze [one of the disaster survivors], and subsequently, we met, said today the Chairman of the Georgian Dream.

“He is a brave man with a great heart. He experienced an incredible, astonishing story. Dato did everything to take his niece to the safest area possible during the disaster.

He went through such a pass with his little niece. He has surpassed himself and did something incredible”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

He also talked about the context of his previous statements, saying he first saw this photo during the briefing and was initially sceptical of its authenticity, as fake images can often circulate on social media.

“Later, I found out Dato posted this photo himself… And first of all, I want to express my regret that I hurt him with my words.

The main thing is that he came out of a very difficult situation and survived; his niece and family survived due to his remarkable efforts and bravery”, - added Irakli Kobakhidze.
