The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze, paid tribute to the memory of the Georgian soldiers who died heroically in Shindisi during the August 2008 war.

“Today we once again remembered the heroes of our Shindisi. 17 heroes are the face and example of Georgian history. 17 heroes stood on one side and injustice on the other.

Five tanks, a company, armored vehicles, large-caliber guns – that’s what our 17 heroes faced, but they could not break our heroes. It is the same throughout history, our heroes cannot be broken. Our homeland and our future stand on our heroes”, - said Juansher Burchuladze.
