The Chairman of the Georgian Dream paid tribute to those who died during the 2008 war at Mukhatgverdi Brothers Cemetery.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, “the Georgian soldiers showed the heroic spirit of a Georgian man, a Georgian soldier, and the then government of Georgia committed the biggest betrayal to its own country and its own people”.

This is a tragic date in the history of our country, but at the same time, these days, the days of August 2008, fill us with pride because of the sacrifice of those heroes who sacrificed themselves for our country.

Once again, our soldiers showed the heroic spirit of a Georgian man, a Georgian soldier, we thank them for this. I really hope that the dream that these people sacrificed themselves for will come true soon. I hope that very soon our country will be united. This was their dream, may God bless the souls of our heroes”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
