The National Environment Agency predicts a rise in air temperature across Georgia, leading to a heatwave during the current week.
According to the agency, on certain days, the air temperature in Western Georgia lowlands could rise to 37-39°C, while in the eastern regions, it may reach 39-41°C. In mountainous areas, daytime temperatures could reach 33-38°C, going up to 28-33°C at higher mountains.
The anticipated high temperatures create favourable conditions for intensifying various processes, including forest fires and glacier melting.
