The Head of the Georgian Tourism Association assesses the record increase in revenues from international tourism in 6 months of 2023.

According to Nata Kvatchantiradze, there is great expectation in terms of income growth during the summer tourist season and autumn.

It should be mentioned that, as National Tourism Administration says, the income from international tourism amounted to USD 1.8 billion in 6 months.

According to the data of January-June 2023, Georgia received USD 1,804,529,935 in income from international travel (tourism), which is a 123.9% recovery of the same indicator of 2019 (+348,461,374 USD).

Compared to 2022, revenues from international travel increased by USD +661,999,720 (+57.9%).

This year, the 2nd quarter of international travel revenue exceeded the same figure in 2019 and reached USD 1,009,112,957, which is a 115% recovery from the same period of 2019. Compared to the second quarter of 2022, revenues from international travel have increased by +260,291,106 (+34.8%) USD.
