The streets of Gagra and Pitsunda turned into turbulent streams, which led to flooding of city buildings and private households. Additional forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Abkhazia were sent from Sukhumi to the zone of severe flooding.

An operational headquarters has been created in the administration of the Gagra district to eliminate the consequences of the disaster and help the victims.

Downpours caused damage to several regions of occupied Abkhazia. It is reported that more than 30 tourists who fell into the bad weather zone were rescued in 3 districts.
