The teenager, L.A (DoB 2007) who went missing in Batumi was found by the employees of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs approximately 2 kilometers from the shore.
Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report about the missing juvenile, which was followed by search activities conducted by the appropriate units of the agency. An investigation was launched on the fact of disappearance as well.
In the course of the investigation, the employees of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained three persons: Z.S. (DoB 1989), N.M. (DoB 2004) and L.M. (DoB 2005)
Z.S. is accused of the attempted premeditated murder committed against a minor.
N.M. and L.M. are facing charges on failure to report a particularly serious crime.
As a result of the complex operational measures and investigative actions conducted within the frames of the investigation, it was established that on July 4, in Batumi Z. S. took L.A. and three other individuals to the sea with an inflatable banana stock tied to the motorized boat under his control.
Later on, with a sharp maneuver, Z.S. deliberately threw all 4 people on the inflatable banana into the water, including L.A. so that he failed to provide them with the opportunity to use life jackets, while he stayed on the boat with the accompanying persons, who are currently arrested as accused persons for not reporting the mentioned crime.
After being found in the water, three teenagers managed to get to the ashore, while L.A. was searched in round-the-clock regime until recently.
The incident is being investigated under Articles 19-109 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
