The representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained Georgian citizen Lasha Khetereli near the occupied village of Disevi.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG], all existing mechanisms have been activated.

“Upon receiving information about the incident, the SSSG activated the “hot line” operated by the EU Monitoring Mission. The international partners and co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions were immediately informed about the incident.

All available mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained Georgian citizen as soon as possible.

Responsibility for all destructive actions committed on the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power”, - reads the statement of SSSG.
