Three-time Olympic medal-winning shooter Nino Salukvadze became the 1st female in the history of the Games to qualify for 10 consecutive editions after finishing 4 in the women’s 25m pistol event at European Games Kraków-Małopolska, Wroclaw.
Salukvadze ranked 8th among shooters at the event with 579 points, finishing just outside the podium but earning the spot at the next Olympic Games.
54-year-old Salukvadze has claimed all 3 types of medals in Olympic Games she has participated in. She also became the first mother to compete on the same team as her son when Georgia’s roster for the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro featured her alongside Tsotne Machavariani.
