David Narmania, Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), at the invitation of the National Energy Regulatory Council of the Republic of Lithuania, participated in the meetings held in Vilnius. GNERC’s chairman presented to Lithuanian colleagues the process and goals of reforming the energy market of Georgia.
Within the framework of the meetings, participants discussed the issues related to the transformation of the liberal electricity market, regulation of tariffs, connection to the network and protection of consumer rights, based on the examples of Georgia and Lithuania.
With David Narmania in the meetings participated Commissioner Maya Melikidze, Director of the Electricity Department Nugzar Beridze, and Director of the Tariffs and Economical Analysis Department Givi Sanikidze.
