The employees of Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational search measures and investigative actions, detained A.N. (DoB1976) for failure to report a serious and particularly grave crime.

The committed crime envisions from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on April 24 of the current year, in the village of Ali, Khashuri municipality A.N. -"s acquaintance, I.K. (DoB 1970), on the basis of a mutual dispute, fatally wounded J.N. (DoB 1970), by a shot from an automatic firearm. A.N. was present at the scene of the accident; however, he did not report the crime to the law enforcement officers.

Law enforcement officers, detained I.K. (DoB 1970), as a result of immediate activities for premeditated murder and illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of firearms, while A.N. was later arrested for not reporting the crime.

The investigation into the facts of premeditated murder, illegal purchase-storage-carrying of firearms, as well as failure to report serious and especially grave crimes, is being conducted under Articles 108, 236 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
