Gudauri, Bakuriani to host the stages of the International World Cup every year

According to the decision of the International Ski Federation, Gudauri and Bakuriani will host the stages of the international World Cup every year.

In the winter season of 2023-2024, the stages of the World Cup will be held in Moguls and Ski Cross disciplines in Bakuriani, and in Snowboard Cross disciplines in Gudauri.

“Continuing the excitement for the upcoming 2023/24 season, we are thrilled to unveil the eagerly awaited FIS Ski Cross World Cup calendar that will see 19 competitions at 11 different locations - including three brand new World Cup venues in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

The World Cup then heads east to Bakuriani, Georgia, on February 10-11. This emerging ski destination offers a distinctive setting and a demanding course that showcases the region’s natural beauty. With its mix of technical sections and high-speed stretches, Bakuriani will test the athletes" adaptability and resilience.

While the summer is just getting started, the anticipation for the upcoming ski cross season is already building. There’s so much to look forward to, and we"re more than eager to dive right back into the thrilling world of FIS Ski Cross World Cup”, - reads the statement of the International Ski Federation.
