
Nino Lomjaria [former Public Defender / founder of Georgia`s European Orbit non-governmental organization], Mariam Geguchadze [daughter of Nanuka Zhorzholiani] and other civil activists thank Germany for imposing sanctions on Georgian officials "responsible for crackdown of mass public protests and human rights abuses".
"Thank you, Germany for standing with the people of Georgia, supporting our aspirations to join the European Union, and helping hold perpetrators of human rights abuses accountable", - writes Nino Lomjaria on the X.
The German Foreign Office introduced additional entry bans on officials responsible for the crackdown.
"For nearly 3 months, the people of Georgia have been protesting in favour of a future in the EU and against the course of the Georgian leadership. They continue to face intimidation, arrests and violence. Today, imposed further entry bans on officials responsible for the crackdown", - reads the statement of the agency.
