The Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Shota Berekashvili, held a working meeting with representatives of the Georgian Business Association.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues raised by the Business Association at the beginning of the year, some of which have been incorporated into the committee’s agenda for the current year.
“The Georgian Business Association proposed 7-8 interesting initiatives, of which we reached an agreement on three and made final decisions. The remaining issues are already on our committee’s agenda, and we expect to address them during the spring session. In general, our committee places special emphasis on the needs of the business sector. Businesses must fulfill their primary role - creating wealth and jobs in the country, which drives economic growth. Only a strong economy guarantees our country’s independence and sovereignty, ultimately determining the well-being of our citizens”, - said Shota Berekashvili.
The President of the Georgian Business Association, Soso Pkhakadze, noted that the association continues to hold discussions on key business-related issues.
“We had a working meeting at the Committee. We discussed 7-8 issues, resolved several of them, and received assurances that the remaining initiatives will be reviewed. This kind of cooperation will further boost business activity, attract more investment, and create jobs. The main goal of our organization is to support our members in their activities to foster business and economic development in the country”, - said Soso Pkhakadze.
