The Minister of Health met with representatives of dialysis service providers and the “Association of Dialysis, Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation”.

Mikheil Sarjveladze discussed with the meeting participants the tariff policy for dialysis services, quality control issues, and the progress of the hemodialysis program.

The meeting also addressed the challenges in the sector and ways to overcome them.

As the Head of the agency explained, the hemodialysis funding model and tariff had remained unchanged for years, but today this tariff has been increased.

The parties agreed that active work with representatives of dialysis service providers will continue in the future to increase the effectiveness of the program and consider the best interests of patients.

The World Kidney Day is celebrated annually on the 2nd Thursday of March, and its purpose is to promote public awareness about kidney diseases and ways to prevent them.
