Active consultations are ongoing regarding the treatment methods for individuals struggling with drug addiction, including the possibility of forced treatment. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.

According to Archil Gorduladze, public inquiries on this issue have increased significantly, both in writing and through other means.

“During the first and second readings of the legislative package, we will clarify the treatment methods to help individuals combat the severe condition of drug addiction.

Our approach is twofold: on the one hand, we advocate for the strictest measures against drug dealers, and on the other hand, we aim to provide alternative solutions for those suffering from addiction”, - said the MP during Parliament’s committee session.
