Representatives of UNM and Gakharia Georgia launch another campaign against the Election Administration - CEC

Another campaign against the election administration is gaining momentum, reads the statement of the Central Election Commission.

“Representatives of the United National Movement and Gakharia for Georgia are once again attempting to convince the public that the election results do not reflect reality, alleging that certain individuals manipulate the outcomes to suit their own interests. Such statements clearly reveal the authors" lack of knowledge about election processes. Anyone familiar with election matters and procedures would find these claims utterly baseless.

Furthermore, certain political subjects are targeting both the leadership and the election administration as a whole, attempting to persuade the public that it serves the interests of the government. Their opinions are not based on facts and are merely intended to influence the perceptions of a segment of society that may not be fully informed about the election process.

In fact, both the OSCE/ODIHR report and the Prosecutor"s Office"s interim statement, based on numerous investigative experiments and testimonies, are well known to the public, confirming that the October 26 elections were conducted with high professional standards, including the unprecedentedly successful integration of technology into the electoral process.

Based on the incompetent and deliberately discrediting public statements made by interested parties, it is clear that their goal is to undermine trust in the current composition of the election administration and the election process as a whole through various false accusations.

This tactic of undermining trust can have long-term consequences, fostering distrust and suspicion among voters, ultimately damaging the integrity of the electoral process and weakening confidence in the institution.

The election administration remains committed to its stated policy and will continue to provide voters with objective and verified information on all matters related to the election process”.
