Employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained one person - T.Z. (DoB 1987).

The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on December 1st of the current year, during the rally on Rustaveli Avenue, the water cannon vehicle of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was damaged by the so called “Molotov cocktail” thrown by the detainee to the direction of the law enforcers.

The incident is being investigated under Article 353, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

At the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all criminal acts committed by violent groups are investigated under Articles 187 and 353 (1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, within the framework of which 5 persons have been arrested at the moment.
