24-year-old Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili [81 kg] brought the first medal to the Olympic delegation of Georgia. In the final, the judoka faced the winner of the Tokyo Olympics, Japanese Takanori Nagase, lost the match and won the Olympic silver medal. This is the 1st Olympic medal in his career.
