The Prosecutor’s Council selected Giorgi Gabitashvili, Deputy Prosecutor General, as a candidate for the position of Prosecutor General.

His candidacy will be presented to the Parliament.

Yesterday, the Prosecutor’s Council selected three candidates for the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia - Viktor Akhalbedashvili, Darejan Butskhrikidze and Giorgi Gabitashvili.

Giorgi Gabitashvili received 11 votes in the voting, which is more than two-thirds of the full composition of the Prosecutor’s Council.
