The Head of the National Center for Decease Control commented on the suspicious cases are connected to the so-called Indian strain of coronavirus

“Specialists are still trying to determine whether the suspicious cases are connected to the so-called Indian strain of COVID-19. However, laboratory response is yet unknown. We can identify these strains through PCR tests as well as genome sequencing. The Indian strain has not been laboratory confirmed in the country yet, but studies are underway”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
