Anti-Namakhvani protesters are waiting to the answer of the Government. Varlam Goletiani, one of the organizers of rallies, that the deadline given to the authorities on fulfillment of protesters’ demands expires today, April 23.

“We will wait for the government for a response. Otherwise, we will expand our protest and unveil a new action plan.

If the road is opened and construction works are stopped, we will have the possibility to move freely and agree on a dialog”, - said Varlam Goletiani.

The demands of protesters: the removal of the iron wall in the village of Gumati which prevents the demonstrators’ movement to the village of Namakhvani, the suspension of preparatory works for the construction of the HPP by the Turkish company ENKA, allowing the demonstrators to open tents for peaceful protests in the village of Namakhvani again
