The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities solved the case of wounding in one of the villages of Khobi Municipality. Police arrested D.M. (DoB 1942) who is accused of the attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances against a family member.

The committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on April 14 of the current year, during a family conflict in Khobi Municipality, the accused person inflicted injuries with a cold steel to his grandson – M.G. (DoB 1997) in the chest area. The injured man has been transferred to the treating facility where he is undergoing relevant medical treatment.
As a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities, the law enforcers arrested D.M. shortly after the crime was committed in Khobi Municipality.

Police has also seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances against a family member, article 109 (11), part II, sub-paragraph “F” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
