Temperatures in Spain expected to soar to 44 degrees

Spain is experiencing the first real hot days of this summer with temperatures possibly reaching up to 44 degrees. For Saragossa in the northeast of the country, temperatures up to 42 degrees are expected, it could be even hotter in Andalusia in the south.

In the cities of Sevilla and Cordoba, with the famous Moorish castle Alhambra, which lies in the Guadalquivir river valley, it could be particularly hot on Friday, up to 44 degrees, warned the national weather service Aemet. Even at night, temperatures rarely drop below 20 degrees.
