32 opposition MPs to file lawsuit with Constitutional Court against Law on Transparency

Opposition members of the Parliament will file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court of Georgia against the “Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence” adopted by the Parliament.

At this moment, opposition MPs are signing the constitutional lawsuit in the legislature. According to the existing information, 32 opposition MPs will sign the lawsuit.

They demand from the Constitutional Court the recognition of non-compliance of the Law on Transparency with Articles 22 and 78 of the Constitution and its cancellation.

Salome Zourabichvili, the President of Georgia, and the non-governmental sector also appealed the law to the Constitutional Court.
