B Hepatitis Management State Program has been launched in Georgia. According to the Ministry of Health, patients will receive medical services free of charge, including testing, diagnostics, and medical treatment starting in September, 2024.
The program will cover medicine costs. It’s objective is to stop the spread of Hepatitis B.
“Individuals with chronic HBV infection and B Hepatitis will be eligible to participate. A special commission will determine who can join the program. Those interested should submit their applications to medical institutions across Georgia. 15 clinics are currently involved, the number of service providers will increase gradually”, - adds the Ministry.
