The Election Administration (EA) of Georgia continues its large-scale campaign regarding electronic elections. As part of it, the information meeting on electoral novelties and technologies is held at the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) today.
The information meeting has been inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia, Giorgi Kalandarishvili. He thoroughly spoke about the importance of modernizing elections, applying electronic technologies and introducing it in electoral process.
The Geostat Executive Director, Gogita Todradze, stated that today’s meeting has been significantly interesting and productive for staff members of the Geostat.
The meeting has been held in the discussion format, and the CEC Chairperson has provided exhaustive answers to the questions of the participants.
As part of the meeting, a simulation of voting has been held additionally, and the staff members of the Geostat firsthand has experienced how the verification and vote counting electronic devices function in practice.
