Nominal gross national income of Georgia according to purchasing power parity per capita increased by 10% - World Bank

Georgia’s nominal gross national income according to purchasing power parity per capita increased by 10% in 2023 and equaled 23,040 international dollars. The mentioned information is in the updated global data of the World Bank’s gross national income,

“The last time Georgia was ahead of the world level during the USSR was in 1990, when the country"s nominal gross national income per capita equaled 5,840 international dollars, and it was 5,541 dollars, 5% lower than the world rate.

For example, in 2000, the national purchasing power of Georgia was 3,200 dollars per person, in 2010 it was 7,580 dollars, and in 2012 it was 9,960 dollars, and the world rate exceeded it by 41%. In 2013, the figure exceeded 10,000 dollars.

In 2023, Georgia surpassed the world level by 185 dollars, exceeded the general indicator of high-middle income countries by 225 dollars, and recorded 23,040 dollars per person.

Besides, Georgia is the only country in the South Caucasus, whose nominal purchasing power gross national income per capita exceeds the general levels of the world and high-middle income countries.

The indicator of Georgia is also higher than the indicators of Ukraine and Moldova”.
